For millions of adults, aging is a dirty word. We live in a “youth obsessed” culture in which every race goes to the swiftest and every prize to the most aggressive. The Second Wind Tour invites you to join a new conversation exploring evidence-based approaches to growth, change, aging, health, and wellness. Join our unique coalition of like-minded organizations and individuals committed to helping people overcome the obstacles keeping them from transforming their lives, work and communities. The Tour is inspired by Dr. Bill Thomas’ new book examining the baby boom generation’s reluctant generational second coming of age, “Second Wind: Navigating the Passage to a Slower, Deeper and More Connected Life” (Simon & Schuster; March 11, 2014), named by Publisher’s Weekly as one of the Top 10 Social Science books of 2014. The Tour events will feature a unique “non-fiction” theater experience that blends the spoken word, innovative set design, film, and music into a single experience.
