Accessibility at the Copernicus Center
Copernicus Center strives to make its facility and performances accessible to all patrons. We have made a firm commitment to providing each guest with an enjoyable atmosphere in a clean and safe surrounding, making each visit an effortless experience. Copernicus Center is wheelchair accessible and we have accommodations for patrons with limited mobility. If disability assistance is required, you’ll find that our staff is ready to help in any way possible.
Copernicus Center has wheelchair- and scooter-accessible locations where patrons can remain in their wheelchairs or transfer to theater seats. Patrons who cannot or do not wish to transfer from their wheelchairs to a theater seat should request wheelchair-accessible locations when ordering tickets.
Wheelchair-accessible seating may be purchased by phone, in person, and online.
For personal assistance selecting accessible seats or for more information about accessibility for a person with a disability, please contact: Theatre Manager at [email protected]
When attending an event at Copernicus Center, we recommend that you arrive one hour prior to the scheduled event start time. Please enter at the main entrance located next to the Box Office at 5216 West Lawrence Ave.
The elevator is located across from the box office on the east side of the vestibule. If you require assistance to your seat location, please ask for the house manager after your ticket has been scanned at the front doors.
Please ask any of our House Manager or staff for directions or assistance:

Please contact the House Manager, security or house staff for assistance with any medical emergency.
Emergency Evacuation Procedures
Copernicus Center personnel have been properly trained in emergency evacuation procedures to ensure the safe evacuation of all patrons, including those guests with disabilities, in the case of an emergency. Additional emergency staff will be assigned to the accessible seating areas to provide assistance to patrons with disabilities. Please pay careful attention to their instructions.
Copernicus Center’s House Manager is available before, during and after every event. Please feel free to speak with the House Manager regarding any questions, comments or concerns you may have.
Lost and Found
If you’ve misplaced an item while you’re still at the theatre, please contact the House Manager for assistance. Any items found by ushers or other patrons will be taken to our lost & found. If you have already left the theatre, please contact the Theatre Manager at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to check our lost and found for you.
As a gesture of respect for all guests as well as for our artists onstage, please be reminded to that cellular phones, pagers, electronic beepers (including medical alert devices) are switched off or placed into silent mode before the performance begins. If you require seating adjacent to an electrical outlet to charge a ventilator or other disability-related device, please contact Copernicus Theatre Manager at [email protected] before purchasing tickets so appropriate accommodations may be made.
Copernicus Center is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Any guest in need of assistance during an event should seek the House Manager, usher or security officer. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Theatre Manager at [email protected].
If you or a member of your party is bringing a service animal, we strongly recommend that you contact the Theatre Manager at [email protected] before purchasing tickets so appropriate accommodations may be made. The venue offers seating locations throughout the theater that will provide a dedicated space for the animal.
