Master & Margarita ChicagoHe, like Gogol, tried to burn his novel. He worked on the manuscript for 12 years. In the margin he wrote: “Finish before you die!” Ivar Kalnynysh in a performance based on the most mystical and cult novel by Mikhail Bulgakov “The Master and Margarita” – in February in America and Canada. A piercing love story, the eternal biblical theme of the struggle between good and evil, an enchanting satire on the life and customs of the townsfolk, “who were spoiled by the housing problem”, a novel about Pontius Pilate inside the novel – these are far from all the layers of this brilliant work. But still, the storyline of the Master and Margarita themselves is the main one, as a result of which it absorbs all other stories. And that is why the play “The Master and Margarita” was conceived primarily as a story about great love, capable of overcoming any obstacles. To play convincingly in a performance that touches on so many complex topics is only possible for great actors.

Master & Margarita is unusual, original and brilliant. Such emotions overwhelm the audience when watching the performance, when a real mystical action is played out in front of them. And really well-thought-out mise-en-scenes, a wonderful musical sequence, beautiful costumes, the skill of the lighting designer and the brilliant play of the actors allowed Bulgakov’s famous novel to come to life on stage. The production, which has been gathering numerous fans of the novel in the theater halls for more than 10 years, turned out to be intriguing, exciting and almost magical …. . In February, meet the play “The Master & Margarita” – in the cities of America and Canada!
