Acts of Kindness Cabaret will bring An Evening at the Cabaret in Jefferson Park their award winning flare in performances focused on friendship. The cabaret company has subtitled this event “A Little Help From My Friends.” The cabaret features Caryn Caffarelli, Hilary Ann Feldman, and Marianne Murphy Orland.
Friends come in many shapes and sizes — from the girl next door, to a beloved pet, to your secret stash of sweets! A Little Help From My Friends takes audiences on a journey through friendship in its many incarnations. Laugh, remember, relate, and guffaw as you enjoy songs by Maltby & Shire, Harold Arlen, Lennon & McCartney, Marvin Hamlisch, Stephen Sondheim, and many others. It’s an evening you won’t soon forget, so don’t forget to bring a friend!
Grab the whole family, have a GREAT evening, and help your neighborhood Chamber. Proceeds of this event will benefit the Jefferson Park Chamber of Commerce, including scholarship and other community programming.
Doors open at 6:30 pm. Arrive early and have a drink. Cash bar will be open.
About Acts of Kindness Cabaret
Acts Of Kindness Cabaret is a volunteer, not-for-profit association of professional performers and technical artists. Our mission is to provide professional cabaret performances, largely free of charge, as fundraising events for other Chicago-area non-profit organizations. In doing so, we also introduce new audiences to modern cabaret.
We offer 1- and 2-hour shows as benefit events. In addition to the performance itself, we provide sound and lighting equipment, technical staff, set-up crew, ushers, and printed programs. We work with each benefiting organization to find a suitable venue and to promote their event, primarily to their supporters. The benefiting organizations sell tickets and, less reimbursing us our nominal expenses, keep all the proceeds. Learn more.
We fulfill the artistic portion of our mission by fulfilling the philanthropic one, and vice versa. It is simple kindness from us to the non-profit community and those they serve.
