Shaila Durcal regresa a Chicago el 20 de agosto de 2022 para un concierto en el Copernicus Center.

SHAILA DURCAL BIOGRAPHY

Heredera de la tradición artística y musical de los Dúrcal, la cantante Shaila Dúrcal es la tercera de tres hermanos, hijos de Rocío Dúrcal y Antonio Morales “Junior”, ambos figuras destacadas de la música española-latina. Desde los tres años quedó claro que tenía el deseo y el talento para convertirse en cantante.

Shaila comenzó a viajar con su madre, Rocío Dúrcal, aprendiendo los entresijos de la industria y actuando como corista de Rocío. Al lado de su madre viajó por toda América Latina, Estados Unidos y Europa, aprendiendo no solo el repertorio de su madre, sino a leer y reaccionar ante una audiencia. La artista pronto tomó la difícil decisión de emprender su carrera como solista. Tras trasladarse a México, la base de operaciones de su sello discográfico, comenzó a trabajar en lo que sería su lanzamiento debut.

Antes de finalizar dicha producción, en marzo de 2006 muere Rocío Dúrcal de manera inesperada, hecho que afectó fuertemente a Shaila, y decidió dedicar su primer disco homónimo a Rocío. “Recordando”, la reelaboración de Shaila del repertorio más popular de Rocío, salió en febrero de 2007.

En 2008 publica “Tanto Amor”, disco completo con canciones inéditas. En 2009 lanza, “Corazón Ranchero”. Fue seguido en 2011 por “Así”. En 2015 lanza “Shaila Dúrcal”.
