Get ready for a powerful night of music, storytelling, and unforgettable performances as 6-time GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Russ Taff hits the road for The Almost Farewell Tour in 2026. Known for one of the most iconic and soulful voices in contemporary Christian and roots music, Taff brings a career spanning more than four decades to the stage in what promises to be a deeply personal and electrifying live experience.

Joining him on this special run is longtime friend, collaborator, and acclaimed singer-songwriter Steve Taylor, performing with Steve Taylor and Some Band. More than just an opening act, Taylor and his band will also serve as Taff’s backing band for the entire tour—creating a seamless, high-energy concert that blends their musical legacies into one dynamic show. Fans can expect rare performances, spontaneous moments, and the kind of onstage chemistry that only comes from decades of mutual respect and friendship.

The tour follows the release of Taff’s critically praised new album Cover Story, a bold and emotional collection of reinterpretations from legendary artists like Bob Dylan, Prince, U2, and Simon & Garfunkel. Produced by industry heavyweights including John Mark Painter and mixed by Matt Wallace, the album showcases Taff’s unmatched vocal depth and ability to bring fresh meaning to timeless songs. Highlights include haunting renditions of “People Are People” and “Demons,” the latter delivered with gripping intensity both in studio and live performance.

Beyond the music, The Almost Farewell Tour is a celebration of Taff’s extraordinary journey—from his early days in gospel music to international acclaim, personal struggles, and ultimate redemption. With six GRAMMY® Awards, 16 Dove Awards, and multiple inductions into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame (including with The Imperials and the Gaither Vocal Band), Taff’s legacy is undeniable.

Whether you’re a lifelong fan or discovering his music for the first time, this tour offers a rare chance to witness a true master at work—backed by a band and collaborator that elevate the experience into something truly special.
