Wydarzeniem otwierającym projekt będzie konferencja prasowa oraz premiera wystawy „Mikołaj Kopernik-praca i życie”. Kuratorem wystawy jest p. doktor Hanna Krajewska- dyrektor Archiwum Polskiej Akademii Nauk a partnerem w przygotowaniu wystawy jest Polska Akademia Nauk Muzyczną inauguracją naszego projektu będzie premierowy koncert specjalnie skomponowanego na tę okazję utworu młodego, wybitnego, polskiego kompozytora Mikołaja Majkusiaka "O obrotach sfer niebieskich” na orkiestrę smyczkową i 7 instrumentów magicznych W koncercie wystąpi dla Państwa orkiestra Uniwersytet Muzyczny Fryderyka Chopina w Warszawie oraz siedmiu wybitnych solistów związanych z tą uczelnią z rektorem Klaudiuszem Baranem na czele. Przygotowywany utwór, czyli wspomniana wcześniej symfonia kameralna „O obrotach sfer niebieskich” wprost nawiązuje do wielkiego dzieła naszego rodaka o tym samym tytule. W drugiej części koncertu usłyszymy tanga polskie będące światowymi szlagierami okresu międzywojennego. Będą to wspaniałe tanga polskie na fortepian, akordeon, kontrabas i skrzypce. Aby nadać odpowiednią rangę wydarzeniu i pozostawić trwały ślad w historii muzyki polskiej postanowiliśmy podjąć działania dla powstania nowego działa muzycznego poświęconego Mikołajowi Kopernikowi. Mamy nadzieję, że końcowy efekt zachwyci Państwa i zechcą nas Państwo zaszczycić swoją obecnością. Inauguracja Roku Kopernikańskiego, będzie prawdziwą ucztą dla oczu, uszu i serca. The exhibition "Nicolaus Copernicus - Work and Life" will make its debut to start off the celebration, which will be followed by a press conference. Dr. Hanna Krajewska, the curator of the exhibit "Nicolaus Copernicus - Work and Life", and the director of the Polish Academy of Sciences' (PAN) Archive of Science, which is also a distinguished partner of the event. This exhibit is made up of 21 panels which will illustrate the story and biography and Nicolaus Copernicus’ life, which will be on display at the Copernicus Center for the duration of the year. The musical premiere of our project will be "On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres," a Composition written exclusively for this occasion by the talented young Polish composer Mikołaj Majkusiak, "On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres," for a string orchestra and seven remarkable instruments. On the stage of the Copernicus Center you will encounter, the Chopin University of Music Orchestra from Warsaw, alongside seven distinguished soloists affiliated to this institution. Led by the director, Klaudiusz Baran. The prepared piece, for the Chamber Orchestra "On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres," is a clear homage to the outstanding work by the esteemed Nicolaus Copernicus. In the second portion of the composition, we will hear Polish tangos from the early twentieth century era that were popular around the world. These will be wonderful Polish tangos for piano, accordion, double bass and violin. "On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres," was composed specifically for the occasion to commemorate this significant milestone in Polish history in order to leave a musical legacy and emphasize the importance of honoring Nicolaus Copernicus.
