Chicago Area Music Teachers Association and the Chicago Chopin Society invite you to participate in the Spring Student and Teacher Recital on Sunday, June 3, 2018, 2:00 PM at Copernicus Center Annex, 5214 W. Lawrence in Chicago (use separate entrance). Program information from teachers must be received as soon as possible. CAMTA members are encouraged to participate in the student and teacher recitals held in fall and spring. A teacher may submit up to three students. These recitals provide excellent motivation for students and for us to practice and set goals.

The recitals are non-competitive and open to the public. Students should be well prepared for these recitals. Solo pieces must be memorized and polished for performance. Duets are encouraged; scores may be used. Although these are primarily piano recitals, all instruments are welcome. Proper stage presence and attire are expected.

To register:

1.  Email the program information to Jaroslav Golembiowski ([email protected]) in the following format:

  • Title (including opus number, etc), Composer, Dates
  • Performer(s), instrument(s)
  • Duration of selection

2.  Pay Fee: $15 per student, payable to CAMTA.  See THIS LINK for details on the CAMTA website.

About the Chopin Society of Chicago

The mission of the Chopin Society of Chicago is to create a greater interest in Polish and American music through engaging in the active support of composers, performers and arts organizations.

The Chicago Chopin Society was established in 2004 driven by a need to celebrate Polish music and present it before the largest Polish American community in the world. The CCS has from its inception cooperated with other music organizations such as The Miami Chopin Foundation, The Chopin Society of Houston, Fryderyk Chopin Society of of Texas, Mostly Music and The Polish Arts Club of Chicago. The CCS has hosted the winners of The Polish National Chopin Competition and ACPC Marcella Sembrich Kochanska Vocal Competition among others. For the last two years we are collaborating with American Music Festivals and the Lincolnwood Chamber Orchestra bringing variety of cultural exchange programs to the Chicago land area.

Our goal is not only to bring the world’s most prominent performing artists to share in the very best that music can offer, but also to share their experience with promising students, as we are also committed to instilling in these young artists the joy that music can bring to their lives and how their performances can, in turn, enhance the lives of others.

In 2018 we are celebrating Poland’s 100th Anniversary. Please join us for all upcoming events.
