TOPICS INCLUDE:
- Consumer Fraud
- One-on-One Utility Bill Assistance
- I-Cash (unclaimed cash)
- Yellow Dot Program (medical info for 1st responders)
- Info by Oak Street Health
The Attorney General’s office will present a Consumer Fraud Seminar at the event, which shows seniors how to protect their identity and avoid becoming victims of consumer fraud.
Citizens Utility Board (CUB) will present information on how seniors can lower their utility costs, and will provide one-on-one assistance with bills.
The Illinois Department of Transportation will sign seniors up for their free Yellow Dot Program, which provides important medical information to first responders in the event of an accident.
The State Treasurer’s I-CASH program will check on-the-spot for unclaimed cash which may be owed to you.
Also, Oak Street Health will attend with information about their services and programs for seniors.
State Rep Robert Martwick will be co-hosting this event with State Senator John Mulroe.
