Access Contemporary Music has teamed up with the Polish Consulate in Chicago and 98.7 WFMT to celebrate the vibrant legacy of Polish classical music in a concert of music by the most esteemed living composers in Poland today, Krzysztof Penderecki.

This concert is also the culmination of an exciting collaboration with Warsaw composer Agnieszka Stulginska who will be present for the World Premiere of a new piece she wrote especially for us. The concert will be recorded for later broadcast on WFMT.

In keeping with the Composer Alive format, Ms. Stulginska will write a new piece in three installments for the Palomar ensemble to perform and record between January and March and will then concuct the new piece at the Copernicus Center. Find out more about the “Composer” programs at this link

Poland is rapidly becoming a world leader in classical music and we hope you’ll join us to hear why!
