Ballet Folklorico de Chicago will be celebrating its 6th anniversary celebration on Saturday, April 19, 2025 and the theme of the night will be “Carnaval”.
Join our vibrant, colorful and splashy event that will be a celebration of the Mexican culture, and the performances will combine dance and live music to bring you Mexico’s folklore and history. The dances encompass the history, geography, traditions and most particularly the African, European and Indigenous influences of the people who lived in the region where the dances originated. Each group left their mark, and you will notice the different sounds, materials, colors, and tempo during the performance. In addition, we will have 2 special guest artists and our master of ceremony mainstay, David Miranda. Become closer to our traditions and let the energetic spirit of each Mexican state take over!
