This film is about the rock band KULT, whose success is largely based on an idea that also became the title of one of their songs: “Your word is true.” You can love it or hate this truth, but you cannot remain indifferent to it. KULT had creative power and the capacity to bring in crowds. For four decades on the Polish music scene, they maintained their as status as one of the greatest and most popular Polish rock bands. Touring, the musicians’ natural environment, forms the narrative framework of this, and it’s central element of their daily lives.

Opowieść o zespole KULT, którego sukces w dużej mierze opiera się na idei „Twoje słowo jest prawdą”, będącej jednocześnie tytułem ich piosenki. Możesz tę prawdę kochać lub jej nienawidzić, ale nie możesz przejść obok niej obojętnie. KULT — moc twórcza, zdolność przyciągania tłumów, cztery dekady na polskiej scenie muzycznej i status jednego z najwybitniejszych i najpopularniejszych polskich zespołów rockowych w historii gatunku. Naturalnym środowiskiem dla muzyków jest podróżowanie. Stąd podróż stanowi ramy narracyjne tej opowieści. To element ich codziennego życia.

About KULT Film Producer & Director → OLGA BIENIEK

Polish producer, production manager, and director. Graduate in Production Management of the National Film School in Łódź. Since 1995 she worked for TVP as a production manager and producer. She is a co-founder and producer at the FILMICON Company set up in 2010. She was honored by the Polish Producers Alliance for best debut for the film “The Closed Circuit” (2013). She was a Silver Lion winner at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia for “The Butler” (2018) and is a Polish Film Award 2019 nominee. “KULT FILM” is her debut as a director.
