All four gentlemen of the MozART group are well educated instrumentalists who graduated from prestigious Academies of Music in Warsaw and Łódz, but they decided to play classical music in a humorous way. The MozART group created a worldwide unique musical cabaret, where the music, not the words are the source of joy and laugh.
Take a classical composition as canvas, analyze its structure and theme, surround it with musical associations, brilliant, outstanding ideas and while listening to the final product the listener is constantly surprised, amazed, laughing and moved to tears.
The musicians of the MozART group have been playing together since 1995. At the beginning, they presented short musical jokes on Canal Plus Television and gave their first debut in 1997 at the PAKA competition of young Polish cabarets in Krakow. In the same year, they presented their first cabaret program entitled “Mozart’s still alive” and since then, they have given concerts in all of Europe, Canada, the U.S.A and Asia. The quartet also performances with colleagues around the world including shows with the mime Irek Krosny or the multitalent Bobby McFerrin.
The MozART group is a frequent TV guest including international galas and concerts. The quartet received prestigious prizes like the Grand Prix of the XVIII Festival of Satire and Comedy in Lidzbark; “Pingwin z brazu” (the Bronze Penguin) – the prize given by the cabaret community of Zielona Gora, an informal capitol of Polish cabaret and two GOLDEN TROUGHS at the RYJEK Festival in Rybnik/Poland. In July 2010 the MozART group was awarded a special prize from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Poland for outstanding achievements and 15 years on stage. The 31st European Humor Festival GAGY in Slovakia awarded the MozART group with the 2011 GRAND PRIX. In March 2013 the MozART group was awarded all three main prizes at the 10th “Festival des Artes Burlesques” in St.Etienne/France: the Grand Prix of the Jury, the Audience Award and the Press Award.
In the past 19 years The MozART group visited over 30 countries, 4 continents, performing more than 3,000 public and exclusive shows!

Grupa MoCarta (The MozArt Group), to fenomenalny, obsypany nagrodami festiwali i konkursów kabaretowych kwartet smyczkowy, jeden z najoryginalniejszych i najbardziej znanych polskich kabaretów. Popularny nie tylko w kraju, ale na całym świecie, jest swoistym fenomenem na polskim i światowym rynku rozrywki. Czterech wykształconych i utalentowanych muzyków: Filip Jaślar, Michał Sikorski, Paweł Kowaluk i Bolek Błaszczyk, zabawiają publiczność w sposób niezwykły, w wyjątkowy sposób łącząc to, co poważne, z tym co bawi, śmieszy i zaskakuje – muzykę klasyczną z absurdalnym dowcipem i zaskakującą anegdotą. Eleganckie smokingi, instrumenty smyczkowe i muzyka poważna, stanowią właściwie tło dla tego, co zaprezentują publiczności – skecze, dowcipy i gagi rozweselają publiczność niemalże do łez. Owacje nie mają końca a publiczność nie chce artystów wypuścić ze sceny. Okazuje się bowiem, że można inteligentnie skojarzyć poważną profesję z kabaretem i uczynić z niej rozrywkę na najwyższym poziomie. I że muzyką można tak wiele powiedzieć. I tak rozbawić grając Mozarta, parodiując Celine Dion, Mandarynę lub Michaela Jacksona, że bez trudu zauważamy, że żart elegancki i inteligentny wciąż jest potrzebny i nadal skutecznie śmieszy. Dziś Grupa MoCarta to już marka sama w sobie. Muzycy otrzymują więcej propozycji występów niż kalendarz ma dni w roku. W ciągu 19 lat swojego istnienia odwiedzili ponad 30 krajów na 4 kontynentach, grając ponad 3,000 spektakli! W Chicago wystąpili w listopadzie 2010 r. w wypełnionej do ostatniego miejsca sali Copernicus Center, do łez bawiąc zgromadzoną w niej międzynarodową publiczność.
Zespół powstał w 1995 roku tłumacząc swoje istnienie prowokującym mottem: “Jesteśmy na przekór dostojnej powadze sal koncertowych, na przekór nużącej codzienności życia muzyków, na przekór zaprzysięgłym melomanom i na przekór fanom rocka, rapu czy muzyki pop, którzy boją się klasyki jak ognia. Traktujemy naszą Matkę Muzykę z żartobliwą ironią i jesteśmy pewni, że się nie obrazi”. Nie obraziła się z całą pewnością, bo już wkrótce grupa stała sie znana szerokiej publiczności z wielu estrad oraz ekranu telewizyjnego, a za rosnącą popularnością szły nagrody: Grand Prix XVIII Biesiad Satyry i Humoru “Złota szpilka” 1997, II nagroda Przeglądów Kabaretów PaKa 1998 i 2000, “Pingwin z brązu”, Grand Prix Festiwalu Dobrego Humoru w Trójmieście, dwa “Złote Ryjki” – nagrody Rybnickiej Jesieni Kabaretowej, Nagroda Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego, GRAND PRIX Europejskiego Festiwalu Humoru na Słowacji, 3 główne nagrody na 10-tym “Festival des Artes Burlesques” w St.Etienne we Francji: Grand Prix Jury, Nagroda Publiczności i Nagroda Dziennikarzy oraz multiplatynowa płyta.
IRENEUSZ KROSNY
Ireneusz Krosny is undoubtedly the most famous and recognizable comic mime in Poland. He is loved by his audience in Poland. By his art, the clarity and originality of form he has gained a large public all over the world. Ireneusz Krosny has created comic pantomime spectacles. The power of his miming comes from two sources: the first is his extraordinary creativity. His etudes describe both the history and present day aspects of public and social life. In his scenes, he doesn’t avoid the absurd or abstraction. Each etude is completed with a surprising point, sending a message. The second source is Krosny ‘s own original style. He has created his own original technique of miming, transparent like the elocution of the actor, making each movement understandable, without attracting attention to the technique itself.
This gives the spectator the feeling that miming is an easy work. He doesn’t use makeup. In particular he doesn ‘t whiten his face. Krosny always performs in a black, neutral costume. The Chicago Reader when awarding Krosny with its “Critic’s Choice” prize, described him with the words – “fresh, funny, irresistible.”

Ireneusz Krosny jest niewątpliwie najbardziej znanym i uznanym mimem komicznym w Polsce, a jego sztuka, poprzez czystość formy i oryginalność stylu zyskuje coraz szerszą publiczność na całym świecie. Tworzy on autorskie, pantomimiczne, spektakle komediowe. Siła jego sztuki pochodzi z dwóch źródeł – jest to kreatywność i własne oryginalne poczucie humoru. Jego sztuka jest zrozumiała dla każdej publiczności, bez względu na wiek, zainteresowania, język a nawet kulturę, ponieważ Krosny stworzył swoją własną oryginalną technikę pantomimy, w której aktor nie gra w sposób symboliczny, ale bezpośredni, przez co staje się bliższy widzowi, któremu łatwo jest podążać za treścią spektaklu. Wystepował w większości krajów Europy, w Azji i Ameryce Północnej.
Jest laureatem wielu nagród i festiwali i jednym z trzech artystów z Polski, który otrzymał prestiżową nagrodę “Critic’s Choice”, przyznaną przez artystyczną gazetę “Chicago Reader”, za najlepszy w tym czasie zdaniem krytyków spektakl.
